Excellent vug-like specimen lined with malachite. While on a small scale, this is how the majority if not all malachite specimens from the Congo are found, in vugs such as these (open spaces for crystals to grow). Some of these pockets are obviously huge given the size of specimens taken out. No damage due to the balance of the specimen and malachite being down in the vug.
