Pyrrhotite, Quartz, Chalcopyrite, Siderite on Sphalerite: Herja Mine (Kisbanya), Baia Mare (Nagybanya), Maramures Co., Romania: A base of massive sphalerite is host to crystallized sphalerite that is topped with numerous clusters of pyrrhotite along the edge of the specimen, and also a cluster of quartz crystals with a few scattered areas of siderite and chalcopyrite. For the size of the specimen, it is virtually damage free with the only damage areas I can locate being contacting along the edges of the specimen and a few broken quartz crystals in the quartz cluster. The pyrrhotite clusters are up to 2cm across. A fine cabinet to borderline large cabinet specimen from Romania in a good combination. $100.00
